The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it's alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie sassa and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area every day. The provider issue produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far here more methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
